Daya Orphanage

Introduction:

The Orphanage of DAYA was established in 2004 in the heart of the city Bhubaneswar, Orissa State with the purpose of "bringing the fatherhood of God to the fatherless." The orphanage has grown steadiliy over the last 3 years and we now have 2 buildings - one which houses 20 girls, and the other which houses 10 boys. The children live on site, receiving a Christian education, food, clothing and love.

The children in our care come from a remote tribal area where schooling and medical care were not available. Thier families have lost thier stability through disease and calamity. Now the children are enrolled in school and have not only caught up with thier peers academically, but are excelling in their studies. (Indian children in general are very studious and appreciate the chance for an education.)
